What

This is a two-night camping trip to Jonathan Dickinson State Park. We will have time for games, den "adventure" breakouts, campfire skits and much more. There is a $6 fee per vehicle for entering the park. 

When

Aim to arrive at the park at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024. The gate closes 15 minutes after sunset (sunset is 5:28 p.m. on December 6, so the gate will close at 5:43 p.m.). The park is about an hour from Delray Beach. We will pack up and hit the road at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Why

Organized camping is a creative, educational experience in cooperative groups living in the outdoors. It uses the natural surroundings to contribute significantly to physical, mental, spiritual, and social growth. Jonathan Dickinson State Park is packed with history, resources and activities to keep the whole pack busy learning and having fun. It'll be a great time!

• 5:00 p.m. Arrive and set up camp. Sunset is at 5:28 p.m. and the park gate closes 15 minutes later at 5:43 p.m. If you arrive later, you'll need a gate code to get in (ask a leader).

• 11:00 a.m. Den breakouts (work on adventure loops, practice campfire skits)

• 3:00 p.m. Boat tour

• 5:00 p.m. Dinner and free time (practice campfire skit, bring games, etc.)

• 6:00 p.m. Campfire (each den does a skit)

• 9:30 p.m. Hygiene time

• 10:00 p.m. Lights out
